Colorful Contemporary "There are many alternatives to consider when deciding on a vanity," says designer Judith Balis. "They're the workhorse of the toilet and will need to be equal parts functional and beautiful." "This was a children's toilet, and [because] I coated the back wall with a classy Carrera marble tile, I chose a fun, bold color to keep it feeling young, playful and refreshing," Judith says.

"It is made of solid white acrylic with solid black acrylic stripes. The outside border corner drawers are mitered into the side panels that increases the clean lines and sharp angles. The drawer pulls are flush out and mimic the curved detail on the lighting fixture," Laurie says. Even the high-sheen faucet boasts black grips to match with the impactful design.

Deco Details "For this space, we desired the vanity to appear to be a one-of-a-kind, custom furniture piece. We understood this vanity was essential to the general toilet design since it is the focus of this space. It sets the mood for the glamorous aesthetic of this space," says Raquel Skrobarczyk of Heather Scott Home & Design. "The vanity embraces an art deco design with its stunning curves and bold contrasting finish. The glossy black vanity using glitzy gold details adds some grandeur and drama to the powder tub."

"Since it can be such a big and functional piece, think of it as the headboard anchoring the particulars of your tile, plumbing fittings, hardware and lighting." Fanciful Feel "The youthful client we designed for has been well enjoyed and loved planes, so we needed to create a toilet to reflect that," says designer Dahlia Mahmood. "The vanity that we sourced resembled the form of a cloud from the color of a soft, pale blue sky with a marble top, which conveyed a fanciful and whimsical style," Dahlia states.
